Stuart H. Armstrong II, CFP® Named FIVE STAR Wealth Manager for 2011
Centinel Financial Group, LLC is pleased to announce that Stuart H. Armstrong II, CFP®, CLU®, ChFC®, CLTC has been selected as a FIVE STAR Wealth Manager for 2011. His selection was featured in the February 2011 issue of Boston Magazine. An independent firm surveyed by mail and phone more than 100,000 high-net-worth consumers in the Boston area and subscribers of Boston Magazine. Wealth managers were evaluated on nine criteria: customer service, integrity, knowledge/expertise, communication, value for fee charged, meeting of financial objectives, post-sale service, quality of recommendations and overall satisfaction. Finally wealth managers were reviewed by a blue-ribbon panel comprised of individuals within the financial services industry. The resulting list of 2011 FIVE STAR Wealth Managers represents less then 7 percent of wealth managers in the Boston area.
The FIVE STAR Award is a client services award issued by Crescendo Business Services, based on an overall evaluation score of a wealth manager that reflects an average of all respondents and may not be representative of any one client’s experience. The inclusion of a wealth manager on the FIVE STAR Wealth Manager list should not be construed as an endorsement of the wealth manager by Crescendo Business Services or magazine.

Roth IRA Conversion Mistakes Can Be Costly
One popular way to fund a Roth IRA is by transferring assets from a traditional IRA or an employer-sponsored retirement plan. This type of transaction, called a Roth IRA conversion, is simple in theory but can be complicated in practice. If you make certain mistakes, you could lose some key advantages.
Giving Strategies That Can Give Back
Americans gave more than $290 billion to charity in 2010, despite the slow economy. About 73% of charitable donations came directly from individuals. This article explains how a charitable remainder trust and a charitable lead trust could be used to provide more control over gifts while potentially benefiting the giver and his or her heirs.
Protection from a Range of Liability Claims
It's projected that American companies will face $183 billion in tort costs in 2011, and $152 billion of that will land on the books of small businesses. Fortunately, there are several forms of business liability insurance that can help offset these unforeseen costs.
HOT TOPIC: Current Economic Conditions and the Prospect for Inflation
Inflation jumped up to 3.2% in April. That’s still below the 50-year average but it may be little consolation for anyone who has been to a gas station or a grocery store recently.
